cant stop reboot

I have a rp5470 that has 11.11 load on it, it has been rebooted and wont finish the reboot process, it is hung on the NFS mounts, How do I stop the process?

boot to single user mode.
disable NFS client or remove any NFS entries from /etc/fstab.

reboot

I am connected thru a hyperterminal thru the serial port on my laptop, and no keystrokes are working, does anyone have any other ideas?

CTRL-B will bring up the service processor. If not, you'll have to power cycle the machine. Then follow the selftests carefully, looking for a prompt to interrupt the boot process. Now you can boot into single user mode. If you enable NFS, this is almost always the scenario when rebooting and your network has been changed, the DNS server is broken or no longer accessible, or one of more of your NFS servers is not working. Once in single user mode, you have to mount the filesystems with your commands:

mount /usr
mount /tmp
mount /var

Now you can edit the file /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf and disable *all* the NFS services. Once you are rebooted into multi-user mode, you can fix the networking and try getting NFS working again.

to skip the script, try cntl-pipe. Then once booted fix the issue.

Otherwise, Cntl-B, or power cycle, interrupt boot, boot single, fix issues or disable NFS all together, init 3

I have tried that the problem is that the dumb terminal wont accept any of my commands...

does it accept any input characters ? If not check the serial cable If hyperterm is giving trouble try downloading qcterm from aics-research.com/qcterm
