CDE and Xserver on 11.23

When I have installed 11.23 on HPUX (PA-RISC server)

Is "HP-UX X Server" & the "HP-UX CDE User interface" installed or are they on the Application Discs

In 11.23, they should be installed. Run "swlist |grep -i cde" to verify.

I have just searched the patch database and there is Xserver cumulative patch and a CDE Base patch...are these needed ?

You don't need the to work, but like all patches they are recommended
