Re: CDRecord
expect it to work as supplied on HP-UX. I
normally use the latest "alpha" kit from
ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/alpha/
(Hmmm. I see that there's another new one.)
What, exactly, is the problem you're having?
(And does it depend on your (unspecified)
hardware configuration?)

Re: CDRecord
You must have downloaded the source code. Goto tar extract directory and read readme file or FAQ file inside. It will show you installation process.
Normally it goes with executing configure file within using ./configure n followed by make install. But, I strongly recommend to read whole readme inside for proper installation process.

You must download gmake and install that too:

Re: CDRecord
When you say new 11.31 server, what model do you mean? Be aware that those with USB attached DVDs *cannot* write to the DVD/RW devices until drivers are released sometime later this year.
So that would be rx2660, rx3600 and rx6600 as well as BL860c and BL870c.
SCSI attached DVD/RW devices should be OK.

Re: CDRecord
we have 3 rx3600 and one of them has an internal DVD R/RW &CD-R/RW DRIVE from Sony.
The model is ND-6650A.
It is internal, so i think it is SCSI.

Google suggests that "internal" is the only
part of that which makes any sense.

That appears to be a link to something,
possibly the latest kit. I normally fetch
the latest kit by its own name, so I can know
what I'm getting. What's the last
"AN-2.01_01aXX" file you got?

Read the README files.

Re: CDRecord
No, it's internal but USB!
Read Duncans comment again, please.
BTW, ND-6650A is NEC, not sony.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
