change password to alphabetic characters only.

i want to change the password of my system to simple password, contain only an alphabetic characters.
but when i tray this message is appeared

Password must contain at least two alphabetic characters and
at least one numeric or special character

if your system is not in trusted then go to the auditing and security from sam and then go password format policy and change it according your requirement.

This is for root? And you don't care that root has less stringent passwords than your users?

For root, you probably can use /sbin/passwd.
