Change Raid Level
I want to change raid level with SA 6402 in integrity server with hpux 11i v.2. I already configured raid 1 but I want to migrate to raid 5. I don't know is it possible and how I can do it? The controller is the boot device.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Change Raid Level
1) Back up.
2) Run reports as to your configuration.
3) On the device itself, you may need to reconfigure all the LUN's presented to the Itanium box.
I would not mess with the boot lun.
Note you will take a performance hit, especially on writes if you do this.

Re: Change Raid Level
Steven is correct. Changing the RAID level requires a backup / restore. With the boot device, this means a new OS install.
The new RAID configuration can be created via the ORCA EFI tool, if you decide to go ahead and do this.
