HI

Just lvextend every lvol. You know, follow the boot mirror procedures.

Note that the procedure is slightly different between Ia64 and Pa Risc.

I'm not sure if this would apply for you but have you looked into DRD? I've attached the admin guide.

Re: change root disk -- urgent

First mirror boot volume
extend vg and mirror all lvol
/dev/vg00/lvol1 , lvol2 and lvol3

then update boot record and break mirror and remove old disk.

Since you mentioned its a vpar u need to provide "vparefiutil -u" to update the new disk path in vpar database after mirroring

Re: change root disk -- urgent

hi,

Check if the san boot is possible from the second array/FC card.

You can chose either boot disk mirroring procedure or DRD.

1. For mirroring, do vgextend, lvextend, then lvlnboot. modify the Vpar boot settings. Check if the par is booting from the second disk. If yes, reduce lv, VG (firstdisk). lvlnboot.

If you are using DRD.

2. Do DRD clone, DRD activate, reboot.
3. DRD remove.

ensure , you have latest DRD patches.
