Changing root vg name in hpux 1020

guys one of my collegues installed a 1020 server from ignite dat but didn't change root vg name to match naming convention.
is there a way in 1020 to change the name, trying to think of easy way to achieve.
i think easiest might be to reimage with ignite and make changes then.
any ideas

No.

You can even on alive system use vgexport and then vgimport to import the volume groups under a new name.

But you may run into boot issues.

In LVM maintenance mode you can export each and every VG, even vg00.
