Edit the /etc/dt/config/Xconfig file (copy from /usr/dt/....
vi Xconfig
dtlogin*xdmMode: True
wq!
Make use of your users $HOME/.xsession script to start your desired window manager
see man xdm and also any good X ref for eg's of xsession files.

I am doing this quite often (and for a lot of users)
and Alex is right about the "how-to", the thing I am
missing is the part about *telling* the old "dtlogin"
process to re-read its configuration...
Just send a SIGHUP to the "dtlogin" process having
the numerically lowest PID (using "kill -1 ...").

Can someone point me to a resource to help me change the windows manage on an HPUX 11i workstation?
