Check Syslog and Eventlog

m very new to HP-UX.

Please help me how can i check syslog and eventlog???

Is there any other logs to check in HP-UX???

you can use (more - command) to view syslog & eventlog.

example :-

# more /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
# more /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log

Hope this helps..

BTW, what are you looking for in Syslog or Eventlog..?

dmesg,
syslog,
rc.log
event.log

dmesg - collect system diagnostic messages to form error log

eventlog,ems - Description of Event Monitoring Service (EMS)

it depends. Which version of hp-ux do you use? issue the following command and paste the output:

# uname -a
