CIFS/9000 Client
HI
I have installed CIFS/9000 Client on a
HP V2500 running HP-UX 11.0
Now I would like to mount an NT filesystem onto the V2500.
Iam wondering if anyone else has tried and succeeded in mounting an NT share
onto a Unix system using CIFS.
I have started the cifsclient by running
cifsclient start
and verified that it is running ok .
then tried to mount an NT share by running
cifsmount //servername/share /mountpoint -U user
then Iam prompted for the users passwd - no probs.
but then receive the following message
Connecting Server: UNIX: Connection refused.
I have run the cifsmount to mount a samba share from another HP V2500 and this
works ok.
I have set the NT domain name in the cfg file. and still no luck.
Any suggestion would be very appreciated,
thankyou.

Re: CIFS/9000 Client
I don't have CIFS/9000 installed, but you're problem most likely has more to do
with the NT security permissions on the share you're attempting to mount than
with the CIFS client.
My guess is that your HP box is not recognized as a member of the NT domain.
Try having you're NT administrator add your HP box to the domain and/or setting
the permissions on the share so that it's readable by all.
