CIFS 9000 Server cannot create files

I installed CIFS Server (SAMBA 2.2.12) A 01.11.03 on a HP/UX 11.0 system. I setup the shares and am able to mount them from a WIN 2K machine. I am running Interix on the WIN 2K machine. When I attempt to create files using Interix on the share from the WIN 2K machine, the file gets created but it always has a zero length and I get a access denied error message. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: CIFS 9000 Server cannot create files

If smb.conf is set to user mode the user needs to be added on HP-UX

useradd Interix

# set a password on the os

smbpasswd -a Interix

Try again and watch the samba log when you try logins.
