I have CIFS/9000 installed on 11.0 server:
B8725AA A.01.09.04 CIFS/9000 Server
and have just had a need come up to mount an NT drive to the HP server. In looking I believe I would use the cifsmount command, but cannot locate this on our server. Is there a part of CIFS/9000 that I'm missing on this server ???

Re: CIFS/9000 : using cifsmount
Is the CIFS-client software installed. If it is you should have a directory /opt/cifsclient

Re: CIFS/9000 : using cifsmount
The CIFS-server and CIFS-client is two separate subproducts of CIFS9000. /opt/samba is the CIFS-server directory /opt/cifsclient the CIFS-client. If you have no /opt/cifsclient directory the CIFS-client is not installed. You find it under
HPUX11i-TCOE B.11.11 HP-UX Technical Computing OE Component
On the HP-UX install media

Re: CIFS/9000 : using cifsmount
This was from HP-UX 11.11 media. I am not sure about the software location on HP-UX 11.0 media but the directory structure is the same with a /opt/samba and /opt/cifsclient directory.

Re: CIFS/9000 : using cifsmount
Leif's right about CIFS being separated into client and server. Running swlist -l fileset | grep -i cifs will show you which CIFS components you have on your system.
The latest CIFS software (server & client) is available for free download from http://software.hp.com
regards,
Darren.
