cifs client smb: server not connected
We have been having intermittent problems with losing connection to the cifs server from one of the clients. we get the following messages in the /var.opt/cifsclient/debug/clinet-log.* file
2008-09-10 01:16:33.791 [1] *** nfslookup warning: can't cache file because parent not found
and
2008-09-10 12:23:24.910 [1] smb: server not connected; mid is 63881; SMB cmd is 0x34; server->cst
atus is 1; transport->cstatatus is 1
there are some events in syslog.log such as
Sep 10 12:23:19 pdb1 vmunix: NFS readdir failed for server pfile: RPC: Timed out
Sep 10 12:23:19 pdb1 vmunix: NFS getattr failed for server pfile: RPC: Timed out
Sep 10 12:23:24 pdb1 vmunix: NFS lookup failed for server pfile: RPC: Timed out
Sep 10 12:25:39 pdb1 vmunix: NFS lookup failed for server pfile: RPC: Timed out
Sep 10 12:25:45 pdb1 vmunix: NFS getattr failed for server pfile: RPC: Timed out
but they dont seem to correlate 1 to 1 to point us in a specific direction.
anybody?
