CIFS in big environments and differenapplications
Hello,
Can anyone give me some more detail information concerning the usage of
CIFS/9000 Server.
We would like to use a CIFS/9000 Server share in combination with MS Exchange. Is it possible to place mailboxes, webstores and public folders on a CIFS/9000 Server share while the MS Exchange 2000 application is running on a Windows 2000 application server.
How would you build up he architecture for such an environment?
Second question is: we would like to install SQL-Server storage on CIFS/9000 Server shares while SQL itself is running on Windows 2000. What architecture or necessary configurations are necessary for this kind of implementatios. What are the recommendations and best practices?
And last but not least, is there any limit for a CIFS share. We will have to create CIFS share that can expand in the near futur until 1TB. We are working now with data quantities from 100GB to 1TB. Are some specific recommendations for those large volumes in CIFS/9000 Server, are such large volumes workable.
Thanks in advance for your help!
kind regards,
Wim
