cisco 6509 auto speed detect


Are there any issues in nic configuration with "auto" speed detact vs speed=1000?

Autonegotiate is required for gigabit speed. No issues on any of our boxes using it.

Auto speed detect will detect the speed of the LAN and try to adjust the speed of the NIC .

If you are sure the network equipment support 1000 Ghz then you can fix it to 1000
