Greetings People,
I am unfamilar with citrix as a production and have been asked whether I have in installed on my HP-UX 10.20 servers. Can someone please give me a clue as to what to look for ie. directory names etc ? What exactly does Citrix enable (I assume networking abilities of some type) ? Please forgive my ignorance as I come from a dba background and not networking.
Thanks in Advance
Adonia

Re: Citrix information required
Hi,
Citrix does not sit on the server. Rather it sits on your desktop. One of the uses is to allow connections through firewalls from your desktop to your server. Suggest you have a look at the citrix web site which will give you more information.

Solution
HI,
have you been asked if there is a Citrix Client installed? This Client allows you/the user to connect to any Citrix Metaframe Server available in the network. If this was the question check for the clientsoftware called "ICAClient". Normally under /opt/ICAClient.
Or was the question if there is a Metaframe Server installed on your HP-UX Server? This would allow any ICAClient to connect to your server and have a full desktop. Independant of the operating system the client is installed on. Then check for the serversoftware. As i don't know where this would be installed i would check swlist first. If there is nothing, check /etc/services and /sbin/init.d. If there is nothing regarding ICA or Metaframe or Citrix then i would assume there is no Metaframe installled.
BTW: as far as i know the Metaframe Server is only available for HP-UX 11.
Hope this helps
Regards Stefan
