Cluster lock disk /dev/dsk/c4t0d1 has failed: I/O error

Hi Folks,

I have a cluster of 2 server rp5470. The package use disk from the va with 8 x 36 GB FC disk. Now the server is down and I'm getting this error:

Jun 24 08:45:52 scp1 cmcld: WARNING: Cluster lock disk /dev/dsk/c4t0d1 has failed: I/O error
Jun 24 08:45:52 scp1 cmcld: Until it is fixed, a single failure could
Jun 24 08:45:52 scp1 cmcld: cause all nodes in the cluster to crash

NOTE: I don't have a spare disk, how can i bypass this options. There is any way i can put my sistem running without a bad disk?

Any help please.

Regards

Re: Cluster lock disk /dev/dsk/c4t0d1 has failed: I/O error

You need to find out why the server cannot access the VA LUN anymore , a

# armdsp -a <array-id>

from the command view sdm server would be helpful.

Hope this helps!

Hi dear VjKU,

I'm complete new to unix cluster and to be honest it's dificult to me answer this questions. How can I see if it's a node/cluster down.

Hi  Nelson,

Check  the disk  c4t0d1 using ,  ioscan -fnC disk command.

The disk configured as the cluster lock is no longer on the system or there is a hardware issue with the disk.

The recommended  action is  to change the cluster lock to a different disk as earleist possible.

HI Nelson,

>How can I see if it's a node/cluster down.
Fast way is you just execute command

#cmviewcl -v

it will giving you the status of your cluster

Thanks
