As new to Serviceguard a quick and easy question I hope
I want to add a standby lan to an exsisting lan so have run cmgetconf and amended the config file. Ran a cmcheckconf which came back fine.
So the question is does the cluster need to be down to apply the conf ?
Serviceguard vers 11.18
OS vers 11.31

SolutionWhat You Can Do Online operations you can perform include:
â ¢ Add a network interface with its HEARTBEAT_IP or STATIONARY_IP.
â ¢ Add a standby interface.
â ¢ Delete a network interface with its HEARTBEAT_IP or
STATIONARY_IP.
â ¢ Delete a standby interface.
â ¢ Change the designation of an existing interface from HEARTBEAT_IP
to STATIONARY_IP, or vice versa.
â ¢ Change the NETWORK_POLLING_INTERVAL.
â ¢ Change the NETWORK_FAILURE_DETECTION parameter.
â ¢ A combination of any of these in one transaction (cmapplyconf),
given the restrictions below.

It states that the cluster can be running when you add NICs to the cluster. Page 367 states that you can add a standby LAN while the cluster is running.
