Re: cluster

/etc/ftpd/ftpgroups seems to be missing. Do you have ftp installed and the ftp daemon (ftpd) running?

Re: cluster

Hi Kamal,

Can you tell me how many node cluster this is? and tell me " dbnode1 " role in the
cluster environment. Check for the etc/cmcluster/cmclconfig cluster configuration file for " dbnode1 "

Thanks and regards

Re: cluster

Hi
This is 2 node Active Active cluster.
with oracle 9i Rac. 2 packagesin dbnode1 and 3 packages in dbnode2.
I checked for the cluster conf file .both seems to be same.
I am having 8 2 node cluster servers.
Iam getting this messages only with this partivular servers . Iam getting the same mesgs in both the nodes.

Re: cluster

Dear Kamal.

If the 2 node cluster is working fine, apart from this message, or if u can
ignore this msg, you can disable the logging for ftpd.

Yeh! is there activity is scheduled at 3:30 ???

Re: cluster

Hi Pete,

I had to laugh and tried to decipher your message.
Was it: "I can't work out what you are talking about. Would you please supply us with words"?

You speech sounds like one of those SMS shorthand dialects which are quite popular among German kids these days, but are undecryptable by us older folks.
In German they call this speech "Simsen", like "to sms" :-)

Re: cluster

Hi Ralph,

That's pretty darned close to what I was intending - close enough not to bother correcting your interpretation. I'd give you 10 points if it was my thread!

Re: cluster

Hi,
Could you check /etc/cmcluster/*log

May some clue come out there.

Worth checking package log files also.

You need to know a lot to actually know how little you know

Re: cluster

I checked for the package logs files, and logs files .but iam not able to find any messages regarding this .(thr is no latest entries in those files.)

accoding to the timestamp only /etc/cmcluster/cmclconfig and /etc/cmcluster/cmclconfig.tmp 2 files are getting modified.
