cmclconfd: Unable to get interface type for disk

I am new to clustering, and I've tried searching, but to no avail. I am able to access all my disks, on both nodes; however, I am getting the following messages in my syslog:

Sep 14 09:00:01 ehp2 cmclconfd[12888]: Unable to get interface type for disk /dev/dsk/c15t2d3
Sep 14 09:00:02 ehp2 cmclconfd[12888]: Unable to get interface type for disk /dev/dsk/c15t2d4
Sep 14 09:00:02 ehp2 cmclconfd[12888]: Unable to query the I/O interface: Key is undefined for specified token, or token is NULL.
Sep 14 09:00:02 ehp2 above message repeats 2 times
Sep 14 08:58:54 ehp1.na.XXX.intra cmclconfd[13524]: Unable to query the I/O interface: Key is undefined for specified token, or t
oken is NULL.
Sep 14 08:59:29 ehp1.na.XXX.intra above message repeats 10 times
Sep 14 08:59:40 ehp1.na.XXX.intra vmunix: 0/0/10/0/0: Unable to access previously accessed device at nport ID 0x20700.

Re: cmclconfd: Unable to get interface type for disk

What version of Serviceguard and what patch is installed?
use the following command to check:
what /usr/lbin/cmcld
Also, what discs are in use here?
It looks like you are using Securepath software, is this correct?

Re: cmclconfd: Unable to get interface type for disk

/usr/lbin/cmcld:
HP92453-02A.11.00 HP-UX SYMBOLIC DEBUGGER (END.O ILP32) $Revision: 75.02 $
Build date: Thu Apr 3 15:23:02 PST 2003
Build id: ibld_sgops_a1115
Build platform: hpux
A.11.15.00 Date: 04/03/03
Daemon
Cluster Monitor Product $Revision: 82.2 $
Cluster Monitor Product Only $Revision: 82.2 $

I do beleive we are using SecurePath - we had a vendor install the cluster so I am not 100% positive.

Re: cmclconfd: Unable to get interface type for disk

Great that confirms my suspicions.
This is a known issue with 11.15, and you need to apply PHSS_30370 if you are running HP-UX 11.11, or PHSS_30371 if HP-UX 11.23 to all nodes in the cluster. Please read the special instructions in the patch text
