Config threshold for vx_nospace notification
I know that hpux 11.0 will write to the syslog when a filesytem is at 100%, but is there a way to config the system to start writing to syslog when the FS is at 90% or 95%? I'm using OpenView/ITO to monitor the filesystems, but it just scans the syslog file looking for messages like "vxfs: mesg 001: vx_nospace" which you don't seem to get until the FS is at 100%, but by then it's too late...

Re: Config threshold for vx_nospace notification
I am not sure where it is configured but you can write some sort of a script to monitor the bdf ouput to find out the file system usage and shoot a message to ITO console on crossing threshold.
Thanks

Re: Config threshold for vx_nospace notification
Have a look at this script courtesy of Bill Hassell. You can incorporate this into ITO.
