Configuration information could not be read from the domain
Hi. I have been trying to get cifs to authenticate users from AD. I have created a user which is both in /etc/passwd and smbpasswd. Here is a output of my smb.conf: [global] encrypt passwords = yes realm = security = user netbios name = myname wins support = no workgroup = myworkgroup server string = Samba Server password server = log level = 3 log file = /var/adm/samba/%m.samba.log name resolve order = host wins bcast wins server = x.x.x.x create mask = 0664 directory mask = 0775 security = domain passwd backend = mypwdbackend When I try to login, I get this error: Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has been denied. The version of cifs is: CIFS-Client A.02.02.01 HP CIFS Client CIFS-Development A.03.01.01 HP CIFS Server Source Code Files CIFS-Server A.03.01.01 HP CIFS Server (Samba) File and Print Services Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.
