configured printers not showing in SAM

Sam does not display printers that are configured within HP-UX 11.0 system. All the printers are able to print and I'm able to see the print queues. When I go into sam and select printers/plotters an error message shows up stating no printers or plotters configured.
I loaded patch PHCO_28505 as instructed by HP and rebooted but the printers are still not showing. I'm also able to add new printers through sam without any problems. An image of the error is attached. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Try "Save/Restore Spooler Configuration"

Actions -> Save Spooler Configuration.

Then go back to " Printers and Plotters"...

If still not there, exit SAM then go back in again...

run /usr/sam/bin/samlog_viewer to see the error messages from sam as to why you cannot access the printers window.

When I performed the Save Spooler configuration option all my printers appeared in the window. Unfortunately, when I went back to the printer/spooler even after logging out of sam and going back in I received the following attached error.

I would suggest you to load the patch:

PHCO_27375 (s700_800 11.00 cumulative SAM/ObAM patch)

That might solve the issue, most of all SAM related issues can be resolved by applying latest patches.

Okay, try doing a restore...

First, cd /var/sam/lp/

Is there anything in there?

Should look something like:

If yes, then go back into sam and Try "Save/Restore Spooler Configuration"

Actions -> Restore Spooler Configuration.

You might want to install the patch that Shiju Wilson mentions...first...

Geoff,

The additional information did the trick. Patch PHCO_27375 was already loaded with PHCO_28505 as a cumalative patch. Restoring from the configuration that was just saved previously worked like a charm. I can now see every printer that's configured within SAM.
