Configuring a lpt1 printer at a remote site

Does anyone know the process to configure a printer on a local pc running windows 98 (using RAS to dial into our intranet). The server is running HPUX 11.0. I'd like to issue an lp command that would print directly to their LPT1 port. Thanks!

Hi Todd,

If you are running windows 98 and you telnet onto your HP server then the remote prn config wont work.

You have to download a application from internet for doing a telnet and you can configure a printer in the application.
eg we used to use CRT application ( freely available on net)

Using telnet you cannot print from win98.
