Configuring CIFS in hp ux

How to configure cifs and adding it as member server in windows 2000 active directory,
what authntication i require to do this on windows active directory

Here is a url to a whitepaper that is devoted specifically to HP CIFS Server and Kerberos. It gives you step-by-step configuration details. Also, chapter 8 has troubleshooting details with common errors and remedies. There are a lot of etheral trace screen shots that don't look so good in .pdf, but those are mainly for HP RC personnel anyway.
