Configuring HPUX 11 as DHCP client

How can I configure my HPUX system as a DHCP client. I have a Cisco router which is the DSL - DHCP server. When I boot the HPUX box it will get it's IP address, Subnet Mask, DNS, etc., from the router, however, it fails to actually conect to the network. I get Configure Lan Interface failure each time. I can connect my PC to the router and it works fine. Most all documents I have read show how to configure the HPUX box as a server, however, I want it to be a client. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Configuring HPUX 11 as DHCP client

I would like to thank everyone for their responses. I can get my HPUX machine to get all the information it needs from the DHCP server, however, there is still the problem during boot-up of ???Configure LAN Interface fail???, which means I still can???t get on the network. I believe I may now have a hardware problem and will look into this.

Thanks again for all the responses,
Bobw
