Connecting a D1000 to K series

with HP-UX 11.11 Base OE installed is not being seen. The SCSI controller cards in the D1000 are claimed but the disks in the D1000 array are not claimed? I also noticed the ID for the disks is a -1. Any ideas.

Hi,
Maybe you haven't load appropiate driver in kernel.
I think you need sdisk or disc3 driver loaded, it depends, I don't know differences about these drivers.
If you're not sure send a ioscan -f output, and lsdev.

As this is an array, have you created any LUN's for the system to see and accept as discs?

Re: Connecting a D1000 to K series

We were finally able to get this to work. The solution we found was to move to a different SCSI controller. We had attempted to connect the D1000 to a 28696A controller. We tried three different cards and none of them worked. We attached it to to A2969A controller on the core I/O and the device was finally recognized by the system

sounds definitely like you are missing a driver for the HP-PB F&W card
glad you got it working
