Dear Sirs,
We are using web site which uses hp apache 2.0.48 and web logic server 7.x. Web Logic uses Oracle 9i RAC in a clustered evironment.
All the setup are running on hpux 11.00.
We are getting connection time out error from the client side.
Any suggestion would be appreciable.
Thanks,
Shiv

Re: Connection timed out
Hey,
Do you have ping to the server? I guess, you so, just checking.
When the client requests the page, do you see it in the logs? Could it be that the application is so heavy, that client timeout before it gets the answer?
Alex.

Solution
Shiv,
I think that the problem description is a bit too general to find the root cause of the issue.
What type of connection is failing? Who is connecting to who?
Checking the log files would be the starting point. And check the connection yourself by eg running a 'telnet ' to see if the other side is listening on the port.
If it fails from the client, do the same on the server itself.
best regards,
Kurt
