Console hang when changing the IP
Hi Guru's
I am changing the IP of my hp-ux(11.23) System, using the SAM (TUI & GUI), but the console getting hang. I dont understand what is the problem!
Using the command line the same result is happening. pls tell me...

Shalom,
You were connected to the console via IP.
You change the IP address. The console resets networking.
What were you expecting to happen?
Try and connect to the console via the new IP addresss.
If that does not work, direct connect via serial and complete console configuration there.

The console is connected directly with the system using the KVM switch.
the ip is got changed, but my question is that why the console getting hang.

Hi,
If you have an alternate NW card on the same machine , try to logon from there. Also if your server have ILO Card, MP or GSP (some kind of service processor) you can change the IP address of primary LAN interface from there.
