						Hi, I have a s700 with HPUX 10.20 with only one hard disk. I want to convert it to LVM. How can i do it?

						Hi 
if you have anly one disk and he is the system disk you canot convert the disk to be an lvm disk .
you can install the system again and choose the lvm option or you can add to the computer another disk with a system and boot from this computer and convert the disk to lvm .

						You can also try to download ignite:
http://software.hp.com/products/IUX/
create a backup archive tape...
boot from the tape, interact with install and select lvm disk management.
It _should_ work, for changing most things related to install, but I've never done what you're trying to do sho can't guarentee. Give it a try though and let us know!

Hi
Why U want to convert to LVM? U have only one HDD, With that anyway u are not going to get LVM's most of the advantages.
I think it is posssible Either through Ignite or through extra HDD .
