Re: converting from lvm to veritas
Hi Ramon:
If I understand your question correctly:
First, there is no conversion utility to convert an HFS filesystem to a VxFS one short of unloading the data, destroying the filesystem, recreating it, and reloading the data. If you want to do this with vg00, create an Ignite 'make_recovery' tape ('make_tape_recovery' as of Ignite 3.2 and later) and use it to "reinstall" your system. Ignite is ideal for this purpose -- you merely need to select VxFS (JFS) filesytems and (re)size then according to your wishes.
The only filesystem that cannot be converted from HFS to VxFS is /stand. This must remain an HFS one.

Re: converting from lvm to veritas
If you are talking about VxVM, then HP currently do not support the root/boot disc on VxVM, you still have to use LVM.
If you are not, then my apologies and James information is all you need.

My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Solution
Hi:
Thanks Melvyn! I thought that the reference to "Veritas" was unusual, but simply assumed "VxFS", not "VxVM"...[ and we all know what we do when we 'assume'... :-) ]
Ramon, I think Melvyn has the answer to your question. For more information on "veritas Volume Manager ( VxVM ) see this document:
