SolutionTo convert the system into trusted system the command is :
/usr/lbin/tsconvert
After converting it will create a directory /tcb/files/auth/*/*
Note: before converting into trusted system you have to modify /etc/nsswitch.conf file. In that file â passwd compact â has to be changed into â passwd filesâ
When you are converting into trusted system all the passwords will be expired. Your have to set the new passwords.
When you convert your system into trusted remember not to forget the root password, otherwise you will have to bring to single user mode to reset it.
To unconvert the trusted system with the following command:
/usr/lbin/tsconvert â

Re: converting to trusted system
I would suggested you use SAM as a safe method to convert to trusted system. It is not that tsconvert wont serve the purpose but..Many of us have got bad experience with tsconvert. Also you can set different policies using SAM.
Run SAM --> Auditing and Security --> System Security Policies.

Re: converting to trusted system
Check this document from HP: Administering your Trusted Sytem.
Good book, review this first for your reference.
