CSTM not working proper
I a having HP UNIX 11.11 servers with Diag version A.45.00 installed
When I give map in cstm, I am getting an error in memory .All other devices are mapped and I am able to get information.
Error as follows ======================
66 1/5 MEMORY (a7) Information FAILED
=======================================
Any one can tell me why it is happening and what is the solution?
Thanks in Advance

Re: CSTM not working proper
I suspect the Memory Dimms are failed here..
Are you able to select the memory device using command
cstm>sel dev 66 = if so then try running this command
cstm>info
cstm>il
Check for any errors on Dimms, if there are any SBE or MBE errors you may think of replacing them at the earliest.
You may also check for these errors by running the below mentioned commands..
#/var/opt/resmon/log/event.log
#echo "map selall info;wait infolog" | cstm > /tmp/cstm.txt Â
#echo "gop cstmpager cat;scl type mem;info;wait;il"|cstm > /tmp/mem.outÂ
#echo "gop cstmpager cat;ru l\nvd\n"|cstm >> /tmp/mem.out
Also would like to suggest that the current version on the box is A.45.00 which is very old you should be updating it to latest which is A.57.00 & its available in Support Plus Media 0706.
Best Regards,
Prashanth

Re: CSTM not working proper
I would first update the diags (your version is from Jun 2004), then try again.

Hope this helps!
