Customized patch Bundles
I am sure you might have seen the modified version of creating of a customized patch bundle process.
i.e. basically, one has to use the existing assessment profile (hpRecommended) of we have to create one based on our choices.
What should I do in this scenario? Should I use the exisitng assessment profile or should I create one for myself?
If so, please let tell me what options should I select (in general)?
security patches
replacements for installed patches with critical warnings
replacements for installed patches with any warnings
critical fixes
updates for the patches already installed
all applicable patches
System specific patch sets:
patches for the specific operating system
patches for the specific hardware model
I really appreciate your response.
Thanks & regards,
Nikee

Re: Customized patch Bundles
In general, you would be needing all of them. So, I select all.

Re: Customized patch Bundles
You want
Security Patches
replacements for patches with critical warnings
proably any warning
You want critical fixes
My response is agressive along with agressive testing.
I pretty much get what I can and run it on thet sandbox. If the sandbox doesn't have troulble it goes to development, then production, two weeks apart.
In any scenario you need good testing.

Re: Customized patch Bundles
The'replacements for installed patches with critical warnings', usually no one select this option when we perform the patch install on the Production system even though we have Development & Test system. Is this statement correct?
Thanks,
Nikee
