D220 LAN Card

An HP model D220 server running HP-UX 11i currently uses a T-Base-10 LAN card. Are there any limitations inherent to the architecture of this older server that would prohibit the use of a T-Base 100 card?

Re: D220 LAN Card

No, other than any EISA based card has no drivers for hp-ux 11.11 or above.
The cards must be HSC

J3515A - single ported 100bt
J3516A - dual ported 100bt
both are HSC cards. You will probably need to install drivers for these cards, they're available either on core OS CD or application CDs (do not remember exactly where)

Terrence,

I don't think so - based on the fact that http://partsurfer.hp.com shows no such card for a D220. You can, however, get a lovely token ring card for it!!

Re: D220 LAN Card

Then again, base on Melvyn and Eugeny's replies - maybe you can.

Disregard.

Re: D220 LAN Card

Be sure that your expectations are set properly wrt the performance you will get on 100BT with a D220. It will not exactly be a barn-burner.
