DAT Size

Hi,
I have been using fbackup command to take backup on DAT which is a capacity of 24GB only and my oracle database would be increasing beyond 24GB after a couple of month.
Is there any solution to resolve this issue.
Can I use second DAT?

Mehul

Re: DAT Size

Hello Mehul,

Yes. Fbackup will span multiple tapes, but that means someone will need to run the backup interactively and feed the tapes when needed. There's some information in the man page for calling scripts when another tape is needed.

Good luck,
Tom

Re: DAT Size

Hi mehul.
You can use second DAT tape.
But I have strong recommend that you should make a requirement to upgrade by using the tape library. It is more better! (Of course, you have to by a backup software!)
