date and time change

Hi,

One our testing user needs to change the date and time of the system. Now i have given him root access to do that. How can i give him the date time change permission without giving root access.

Re: date and time change

sam -r

set up restricted sam access for the user.

This will let you only give the function to assign date and time.

I like solving problems as much as the next guy but 29 point assignments in 187 responses is kind of low. How about you bring that up.

It will get you more responses in the future.

Re: date and time change

Hi,
You can use the sudo utility and by this to permit to user or users to run what he needs.

Use set_parms, do man on set_parms
SAM is another option to do.
