Re: daylight saving time hpux 9.x

Good morning Jim,

We still have many 9.03 systems here. Yes, the time zone change is automatic depending on the time zone specified in /etc/src.sh. I've never heard of disabling it.

So, a couple of questions:
Why would you want to do so?
Are your 9.x boxes running ntp? This will time sync the machines also.

Have a great HP day!
Larry :-)

Hi

As said the system will handle the clock change as per /usr/lib/tztab.

The thing to ensure is that cronned jobs do not get skipped or run twice during tz changes.

Re: daylight saving time hpux 9.x

Jim,

Have you successfully disable the TimeZone? If yes, how do you do this?
Nowadays I'm needing to disable it...

Thanks,
