Default NFS client timeo with HP-UX 11.0

Greetings,

I know that with HP-UX 10.0 the default timeo value is 7 ms, but I looked at the documentation of HP-UX 11.0 and it's said that the default value is set by the kernel. But I just can't find the place where it can be changed (i.e. to double it).

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

i also haven't found a kernel parameter that defines the default timeo in HP-UX 11.00.
Think only solution is to use the timeo=# option within the mount (/etc/fstab)
See man mount_nfs.

Hi,

Sometimes documentation changes for no reason (or maybe there was a reason but it did not get implemented as intentional). The timeout for 11.00 is as in 10.X - 7/10th of a second
