						Hi,
Can any one let me know what are the default unix process and daemons required for the HP-UX 11.00 box to be kept running. And also the services that can be kept open.
As we are going to stop all unrequired process and daemons.
Regards.

I don't have a specific list for you, but don't attempt to stop anything with a PID of under 10. This would include the system swapper, filesystem syncer, init, etc.
But, why would you want to stop everything? If they aren't being used, they swap out. No harm done, and they don't use any resources.
Run "top" to see for yourself. Most deamons do nothing most of the time, but are really handy to have around when you need them.

No matter where you go, there you are.

						hi ,
Do not stop any except the one you know.
You get a list from /etc/inet.conf and /etc/services
