Define a printer at HP-UX through Terminal Server

I have a Printyer connected to a serial port at Terminal Server and needs to configure it at HP-UX. Please let me know how can I do that.

Hi it is very simple . say if you are using pty terminals the entry for that sould be in the inittab . the TS ports numbers and device special file mapping also available in /etc/fptd/ptydefs.conf .or what ever it may be used by your application . in that you can map the serial port number with any device special file you are planning for the printer example and then try to add the printer just like normal printer in your system with that device special file . consider serial port settings in printer and terminal server plus host config files .
If any problem your facing kindly send me the pty.conf file and ts serial port parameters.

Thank you. But I can not find the files /etc/fptd/ptydefs.conf and pty.conf .
Please give me step by step configuration. Our OS is HP-UX 11i .

Thank you. We have a DEC 90TL Terminal Server connected to LAN.The Terminal Server has an IP Address and the printer connected to serial port and running from Tru64, SCO 5 and Unixware.

You don't mention HP-UX as a supported OS. That doesn't mean it won't work, but that might be the case.

HP does have a support center in your region. I recommend contacting it and getting assistance.
