/dev/vg00 lvol4 thru lvol8 Striped. Remove Striping.

I cannot create mirror copies of logical volumes that are striped.

I need to backup the data, destroy the logical volumes, recreate and mirror the lvols.

But, these are vg00's lvol4 thru lvol8 (tmp, var, opt, home and usr filesystems reside on these logical volumes). How should I go about accomplishing this? In Single-user mode? Even then, how could I destroy these logical volumes and rebuild?

I'd really appreciate your help.
Thanks!
Ravi.

Do a backup with ignite (on tape or ignite server) and restore the image.

During the restore you can adjust all this settings (including the LVOL size).

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
