Disabling vpar crash configuration

My test system in vpar envirnoment is filling up /var partition with vpar crash files in /var/adm/crash/vpar directory. I need to disable this in my test systems. Please advice how can i do this?

thanks,

Re: Disabling vpar crash configuration

Hi,

If you want to disable the crash dump files when the system crashes and reboots, you should change the line

SAVECRASH=1 to SAVECRASH=0

in the file /etc/rc.config.d/savecrash

Hope this helps.

Re: Disabling vpar crash configuration

I thought that would disable all the crash saving functionality on the system, I just want to disable the vpar crash files not to be save in /var/adm/crash/conf directory and retain regular crash dump feature.

am'i in the right direction?

Re: Disabling vpar crash configuration

Hi,
I believe that the config for both the kernel dump and the vpar monitor dump is set only in /etc/rc.config.d/savecrash.
You can do either enable or disable for both vpar and kernel but not the one.

Below link may help you.
