Disk Mirroring Problem!!
Hi!!
We have a problem of disk mirroring.
Our system is K580 attach 4GB Disk (8module) Disk Array.
Now, Disk Array will be removed then new Disk
Array (HP HVD10)-18GB set to.
This system is mission critical system 24 * 7.
we seek for mirroring from 4GB to 18GB.
I see that doing mirror from 4GB to 18GB use
only 4GB Size of HVD 10 (18GB).
Because PE number copy for new disk, we use PE number of new disk.
I seek for method mirroring that Disk of 18GB fully use.
thank you.
bye

Re: Disk Mirroring Problem!!
Hello.
If I understood your question correctly, you cannot achieve this. You cannot mirror a 4GB disk to 18GB disk so that it would utilize the total 18GB. Remember, it's supposed to be an exact duplication. See for example http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Software-RAID-HOWTO-2.html or http://www.win2000mag.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=218 for RAID basics.
Cheers,
Arimo
