Re: DISK REMOVAL

Robert,

I would think that a re-boot would clear this (though I'm not positive).

Re: DISK REMOVAL

you may be able to stop easily by declaring to EMS that it should no longer be a monitored component via the EMS interface in SAM.

Thats just a guess though..

It works for me (tm)

Re: DISK REMOVAL

Hello,

If all else fails, you should be able to stop this by stopping and starting ems:

# /sbin/init.d/ems stop
# /sbin/init.d/ems start

Also, when you run an ioscan, do the entries for that path show up? If so, you can run rmsf -H to remove them.

Hope this helps

Re: DISK REMOVAL

If you cannot afford a reboot, go through steps 1->8 (see doc) and that should clear things up for you.

Re: DISK REMOVAL

hi,

You will have 2 options:
1) reboot
2) Stop and start the ems daemons.

Also check this TKB Doc too -http://support2.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&admit=-1335382922+1028915238233+28353475&docId=200000058669100

Re: DISK REMOVAL

HI Robert

Do a rmsf /dev/rdsk/cxtydz

ems stop and
ems start

in all the probeblities the message will go off and you dont need to do a reboot.
