djbdns and BIND 9
I have heard djbdns out performed Bind 9 and the way it handles the DNS cache is much better.
Isn't true that djbdns is built because of the security issues found in Bind 8? And since Bind 9 fixed most of the security problem, djbdns is no better anymore?
Do you suggest an enterprise to use Bind or djbdns? I personally prefer Bind, just because I can receive vendor support since it comes with a lots of OSes.

Re: djbdns and BIND 9
BIND and DHCPD are very easy builds from the source code.

Re: djbdns and BIND 9
But have you used djbdns (tinydns) before?
How would you compare it with Bind 9?

Re: djbdns and BIND 9
Currently, we have Bind 9 as Primary with Windows ADS as secondary. With 80% of all requets/changes Windows related and with issues with ADS and Bind, we are about to go to a MS ADS Primary DNS... :(
Support is a big issue - I would only use TinyDNS is there was a particular need for it that couldn't be met by Bind or MS.
Rgds...Geoff
