I need to do a backup the one file de 88 GB on DLT 7000. How I can know the time, the this backup with fbackup.

Solution
The 'typical' performance for a DLT7000 is somewhere around 18GB/hr but it depends upon several factors (how heavily used the filesystem, system load, amount of buffer cache, blocking factor, compressibility of the data itself).
You should also note that 88GB may not fit on a single medium. The 70GB capacity assumes a 2:1 compression ration; some data will compress far more than that and other data far less.

Hello,
I needed to backup 120gb, using fbackup and a DLT700 drive I managed to fit 93gb on one tape and the hole operation took around 11hrs. The amount of time and compression really depends on the drive performance or so I have been led to believe.
