..to recreate missing device files and then ioscan it again, you should be able to see it then.

Same solution that Domenico Vizzoca, S.K. Chan and Pap...
Run insf -e to crate all missing device file.

This can also be tried . Just do a insf w/o a -e option and it will install files for the devices which are new and not go through the whole installation.
