DNS resolution in 3.7.96

Hi,

I've upgraded from 3.6.(whatever the latest release was) which worked with DNS resolution, however after upgrading to 3.7.96, when i want to add a new client it can't resolve any machine name unless it is /etc/hosts and cannot resolve from dns.

the dns configuration is the same and works for every other tool.

Is this a bug?
