Does HP-UX Support NFS V3 Via TCP?

Hi Folks,

Does HP-UX support NFS Version 3 using tcp as the transport? Tried searching the site but nothing came up.

Thanks,

Ken.

NFS V3 is installed whith HP-UX 11.

Whith this version you can choose TCP or UDP for transport.

HP-UX 11.00 is NFS v3
HP-UX 10.20 is NFS v2 but with patching you can upgrade to NFS v3.

Re: Does HP-UX Support NFS V3 Via TCP?

HP-UX 11.0 does contain NFS V3, but as Thomas McNeal (project manager for HP Kernel and Performance Project) noted in his September 1999 article in "Interex Enterprise Solutions" on "Overview of the HP-UX Implementation of NFS Protocol Version 3":
HP's implementation of PV3 currently does not support transport over TCP,... there are future plans to have PV3 run over TCP and increase the transfer limit.

David Olker at HP was kind enough to provide the following information.
Support for NFS/TCP started with March 2000 patches. Latest patch is PHNE_22125.
